Action was heads up with around 3,000 in the pot and Q♠2♣6♠ on the board when Conrad Simpson checked from the small blind and a player in middle position bet 1,200. Simpson called and the turn was 4♠.
Both players checked the turn and the river was Q♥. Simpson fired 2,300 and his opponent gave up the pot.
A player was all in and Oscar Carrasco called with a slightly shorter stack. The rest of the table was out of the way and action was heads up.

The board ran out J♠10♠4♣K♥5♥ and the better ace-high held to give Carrasco the pot. Carrasco's opponent kicked rocks fast toward the door, but he had 400 left after they counted out the chips. The player was already gone and he blinded out.

Ana Marquez raised to 1,500 from middle position and a player in the small blind called before Shawn Grigus came along from the big blind.
The flop was 10♠Q♦6♦ and the small blind checked into a 2,800 bet from Grigus. Marquez folded quickly and the small blind spent a short moment in the tank before he tossed his hand in the muck to give up the pot.

Action was three ways with over 10,000 in the middle and 6♦2♥9♥K♣ on the board when Diego Uez called a bet of 3,600 in late position. All three players were in for the river and it was the J♣.
Everyone checked the big pot and the cards were turned up. A player in the blinds showed 8♣6♣ for a pair of sixes and Garen Zobian turned over K♥Q♥ for a pair of kings. Uez mucked his losing hand and Zobian took the pot.
The field has now swelled to 144 entries in the opening levels of the tournament.
