Ha Sends One to the Showers

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Kevin Ha
Kevin Ha

Action folded around to the cutoff, who open-jammed. Kevin Ha was in the small blind and asked for a count, which was totaled to be 5,800 before jamming himself. Jack Sumner asked for a count on Ha's stack out of the big blind and then folded upon seeing it north of 20,000.

All-In Player: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Kevin Ha: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The all-in player picked up two extra outs on the turn of a runout {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Spades} but Ha was the one to improve on the river, finishing the hand with a full house to earn the pot and knockout.

Izadi Runs Two Pair into a Straight

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Preflop action saw the cutoff raise and receive calls from both William Thomas on the button and Hamid Izaid, who was in the big blind. The flop came {8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Izadi checked. The original raiser continuation-bet 2,000 and both Thomas and Izadi called.

All three players checked the turn {6-Spades} and Izadi fired out 4,500 on the river {9-Spades}. The cutoff thought for a bit and then folded, with Thomas dropping in a chip simultaneously to look up Izadi.

Izadi tabled {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a turned two pair and Thomas showed {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a rivered straight to earn him the pot.

Palmer Nabs a Shorty

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was heads up in a side pot on a board of {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} between Josh Palmer in middle position and an opponent on the button. The short-stacked small blind was already all in with over 5,000 in the main pot. Palmer bet 2,500 and received a call, bringing the river {j-Diamonds} where he bet another 5,000 and got a quick fold from his opponent.

Palmer tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and the all-in player mucked his hand with the dealer quickly exposing {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} before turning it back over and dropping it onto the muck pile.

James Wicks was down to his last 2,000 in the small blind and committed it after a player in middle position opened to 2,200. The big blind also called, with the two side-pot players checking to showdown on a runout of {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

James Wicks: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Middle Position: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Petraglia Beats the Boated Board

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Paul Petraglia
Paul Petraglia

"Eight hundred," announced Paul Petraglia as he raised under the gun. Lawrence Brown called in middle position and action went heads up to the flop {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, where Petraglia made a continuation-bet of 1,000 and Brown called.

Petraglia checked the turn {7-Clubs} and Brown bet 2,000. Petraglia put in a check-raise to 5,000 and received a call from Brown. The river fell {7-Diamonds} to bring a full house on board and Petraglia bet another 10,000.

Lawrence studied Petraglia and thought about his decision for the better part of a minute before tossing in chips to call. Petraglia quickly showed {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} for queens full, resulting in Brown tapping the table and sending his cards to the muck.
