Starr Valdez was just overheard talking to her tablemate about how the two are now "dangerous". Apparently, both players were down to around 7,000 and have recently won pots to work their way back towards starting stack.
Valdez recounted her hand, saying a player with slightly less than her got all in preflop to send the two off to the races.
All-In Player:
Starr Valdez:
"I won the flip," said Valdez of the result and she now has over 17,000 once more.
Valdez has already experienced some success this series, making the final table in Event #5: $360 Monster Stack NLH. In that event, 222 entries worked their way down to the final five before agreeing to a deal that resulted in Valdez earning a third-place finish good for $9,000.

All of the chips had gone into the middle with a short-stacked small blind at risk for his last 7,000 or so against Dustin Holladay, who was under the gun.
All-In Player:
Dustin Holladay:
The all-in player was already out of his seat and well on his way by the time the runout completed. With the pot, Holladay now finds himself over 100,000, becoming the first player in the room to be spotted having reached that figure.

Pupillo's opponent check-called 3,200 and the turn came . The player checked again and Pupillo threw another 9,000 forward.
"You've got to have it this time, right?" asked his opponent after some thought, and then took another handful of seconds before giving up contention of the hand.

A pile of chips was in the middle totaling at least 10,000 with three-way action on a flop reading . Tommy Tran was first to act in the hijack and checked, as did cutoff. The player on the button shoved all in for 10,600 and Tran check-shoved over the top to put the cutoff all in as well. The cutoff did not oblige.
All-In Player:
Tommy Tran:
Tran's top pair was way ahead of his opponent's bottom pair, top kicker, and he found himself to be the one to improve as the turn and river completed the runout to give him trip kings and score him both the pot and the knockout.

Darren Elias was on the button and raised an open-limp from the hijack to 1,400. Gary Herstein called in the small blind, as did the original limper, and the three saw a flop of .
Herstein, first to act, led out with a bet of 2,200. The hijack immediately folded, sending action over to Elias. Elias thought for around a minute and then grabbed his remaining chips and committed them to the center, totaling 8,100. It then became Herstein's turn in the tank, and he thought about his decision for close to the same amount of time as Elias.
Eventually, Herstein looked back at his cards and slid them under the chips he had already bet, continuing to slide both forward to the middle, earning Elias the pot to give both players identical stacks.
