Chastain Wins Flip to Eliminate Boas

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Angel Boas moved all-in for around 100,000 and Eric Chastain re-shoved behind him for around 300,000. Joseph Burns had already committed 17,000 to the pot but opted to fold.

Angel Boas: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Eric Chastain: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Boas looked nervous as he flipped for his tournament life. The flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} was brutal for him as he made top pair but Chastain made a set of queens. The {2-Spades} on the turn had Boas drawing dead and he hit the rail.

Pollard Doubles Through Valdivieso

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Timothy Pollard recently got short-stacked and was all-in for around 15,000 against Pablo Valdivieso to his left, who had him covered.

Timothy Pollard: {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Pablo Valdivieso: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to give Valdivieso a big lead with a pair of jacks, but the {a-Hearts} on the turn pushed Pollard ahead to double up after the {q-Spades} river.

"You almost had, Pablo," said tablemate John Bellotte.

Nick Raio opened to 13,000 in early position and Day 1a chip leader Brian Dumaplin flat-called in the hijack, while Russell Clayton called out of the cutoff to see a flop three ways.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and all three players checked. Raio and Dumaplin both checked again on the {9-Diamonds} turn and folded when Clayton fired a hefty bet of 40,000.
