John Compton was under the gun and saw a flop against the big blind and a middle position player.
The big blind led out with a bet of 8,000 on the 
flop and only Compton called. The opponent slowed down and checked on the 
turn and Compton rapidly checked back.
The big blind bet a small 5,000 on the 
river and Compton put in a raise to 15,000.
"I shoulda just checked," the opponent said softly before folding.
