Crenan technically had the best hand with a pair of eights, but he was a statistical underdog (43.5%) as his opponent dominated all of his draws, including by holding the straight flush card he needed, and had over overcards to go with it (55.5%).
Crenan managed to hold as the board ran out 
and he took down the massive pot.
