Day 1c Action

Day 1c attracted the biggest field yet with 282 entrants, nearly doubled the two previous flights combined.

An early highlight occurred when David Jolicoeur made quad aces and managed to get paid of when he moved in on the river, while, just one table over, Lisa Kaminski binked a straight flush against her unfortunate opponent's turned set.

Another notable hand took place late in the day when Bryan Brockmeier made a hero-fold with a set of fives on a board of {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, believing his opponent, Mary Darnell, to have a bigger set. But Darnell tabled pocket fours for a lower set and the table erupted as Brockmeier saw he was ahead the whole time.

Darnell, for her part, managed to run up her stack to end the day second in chips behind Chau.

Some of the players who didn't make it to bagging time include Charles Wardlaw, Andrew Dykeman and Gil Levy.

Day 2 will commence tomorrow, Sunday, April 24 at noon EST and will play down to a winner. The final table will be live-streamed and PokerNews is ready to bring readers updates of the Day 2 action in Event #1: $560 NLH.
