Warde Falls After Back-to-Back Bluffs

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Heather Warde was out of position on a board of {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and fired a turn bet of 2,000, which her opponent called.

Warde sized up to 4,500 on the {j-Clubs} river and goaded her opponent into folding as he sat in the tank.

"I have two pair, honey," she told him.

The opponent eventually called and Warde showed {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for bottom pair, which was no good against the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of her opponent.

The next hand, Warde got to the turn in a three-way pot on a board of {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and moved in for about 15,000. One opponent called and the other folded.

Heather Warde: {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Warde was in bad shape against the jacks of her opponent and the {a-Spades} on the river sent her to the rail.

"Tried to represent a queen and still got called," Warde said glumly as she left her seat.

Jufer Goes Runner-Runner to Double Up

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Stephen Jufer
Stephen Jufer

Stephen Jufer saw a flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} against two opponents. One opponent bet 1,500 and Jufer check-raised to 7,500, which got a fold out of the third player in the hand. The opponent called called.

Jufer bet 13,000 on the {4-Spades} turn and his opponent quickly called. Jufer moved in for 15,800 on the {4-Clubs} river and the opponent called with a bigger stack.

"Runner-runner," Jufer said before showing {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to win the pot, having raised with a flush draw and ultimately backing into trips.

His opponent showed {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and shook his head in frustration.

"I knew you didn't have jack-shit," he mumbled.

"Well, he did have jack-shit!" someone at the table laughed.

"You're right," the opponent said. "Unbelievable."

Nennstiel Shows an Ace

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Carson Nennstiel was in a heads-up pot on a board of {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} with an array of chips already in the middle.

His opponent bet 11,000 and Nennstiel moved all-in for around 26,000.

"You're on a flush draw, aren't you?" the opponent asked, which got a smile of out Nennstiel.

The opponent eventually folded and Nennstiel revealed the {a-Spades} in his hand, leading the opponent to speculate that he had ace-jack.

Nut Flush for Mcgarity

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Mark Mcgarity was in position against two opponents, including Rich Haskins, on a flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Mcgarity bet 2,000 when checked to and both opponents called.

Both opponents checked again on the {5-Clubs} turn and Mcgarity checked back. The first opponent checked on the {q-Diamonds} river and Haskins fired a bet of 4,000. Mcgarity raised to 8,000 and the first opponent folded, while Haskins tossed in a reluctant call.

"Y'either have the ace or the king," the opponent said correctly as Mcgarity tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for the nut flush, while the opponent had the {q-Clubs}.

Haskins Doubles with Rockets

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Rich Haskins was all-in preflop against a player who he had covered by 1,200.

Rich Haskins: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was a cooler and the opponent received no help from the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} and the {3-Diamonds} on the turn had him drawing dead headed to the {9-Hearts} river.

The next hand, the opponent was eliminated when he moved in with pocket queens and an opponent with {9-}{8-} made two pair on the turn.
