Mcgarity Flashes an Ace

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Mark Mcgarity saw a flop of {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} against three opponents in a single-raised pot.

Mcgarity was the first player to act and led out with a bet of 5,200. One after another his opponents folded, and Mcgarity flashed the {a-Spades} to show he wasn't bluffing.

Big Slick Wins it for Chastain

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Eric "Scott" Chastain was in a preflop confrontation against an opponent who was all-in for about 5,000.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Eric "Scott" Chastain: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Chastain had his opponent dominated and the runout of {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} sent the opponent packing.

"Oh no, I would've had trip threes," the under-the-gun player said. "I should've open-shoved my three-four off. Dammit!"

Two Pair Good for Rosin

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A middle position player opened to 1,300 and Norma Rosin flat-called as the player next to act, while the small and big blinds also came along.

The action checked to Rosin on the flop of {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs} and she bet 3,200. The small blind called and other two players folded. The small blind checked on the {j-Spades} turn and called a bet of 6,000 from Rosin.

The small blind checked again on the {5-Diamonds} turn and Rosin took a moment before checking back and showing {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to win the pot with two pair.

"Didn't know if you made that straight," Rosin said in explaining her check-back.

"I would've checked there, too" a table mate commented.

Hargrove Catches a Bluff

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Two players limped in and Eric Hargrove completed in the small blind before the big blind raised to 1,900. All three players called.

Hargrove led out with a bet of 1,500 on the flop reading {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and, one by one, his opponents called. Hargrove then checked on the {2-Hearts} turn and it checked to the last player to act, who moved all-in for 6,500. Hargrove called and the other two players folded.

Opponent: {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Eric Hargrove: {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

"Good call," the opponent said before revealing the bluff with a gutshot. The {q-Hearts} on the river didn't change things and Hargrove took down the sizeable pot, while the opponent was eliminated.

Adams Triples With Aces

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Clayton Adams
Clayton Adams

Clayton Adams opened to 1,200 in middle position and the small blind three-bet to 3,200. The big blind cold-called, while Adams four-bet shoved his stack of 15,000. The small blind re-shoved a slightly bigger stack and the big blind called with both players covered.

Clayton Adams: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Small Blind: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Adams was in good shape to triple if his aces could hold up. The flop of {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Clubs} all but sealed it for him with top set and the runout of {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} didn't change things.

"Good flop!" someone at the table commented.

A small side pot went to the small blind, who was clearly not happy with the result.

Trips Good for Jones

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Keith Jones opened to 1,300 on top of a limp and the big blind called, as did the limper.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} checked through and Jones bet 1,700 when checked to on the {7-Clubs} turn. The big blind folded and the other player called.

Jones fired a bet of 3,200 when checked to on the {k-Hearts} river and his opponent quickly folded. Jones was kind enough to show he had it with {a-}{5-} for trips.
