Marcus Cohen has come a long way to play some poker. The London native is here at Borgata taking part in the poker action and if he continues running like he is today, he might be here for quite some time. Marcus was piling a stack of chips - 304,000 in total - and told us how he got the majority of them.
"I had and the flop came . We got it all in. He had a set but I hit a flush on the river. He had like 100,000 so it was a big pot."
Dr. Stanley Graham was among the chip leaders not too long ago, but after being dealt a cooler against Mike Jarvela, he's no longer in the tournament.
Graham made trip jacks with on a board of , but they were no good against Jarvela's . The doctor looked a bit stunned as the chips were being pushed to his neighbor, and after a few minutes the 88-year-old man exited the tournament area.
Jarvela, who said he had just 12,000 chips recently, is up to 200,000.
Ariel Albilia raised in middle position, an opponent three-bet to 13,000 on the button, and both blinds released. Albilia called, the flop fell , and Albilia check-called a bet of 15,000.
Both players checked on the turn () and the river (), and the player on the button showed for a pair of kings.
Albilia folded , and was left to wonder whether or not he should've bet on the river.
When we reached the table there was well over 100,000 in the middle of the table, but Tremayne Jernigan only had 400 in chips behind. That's right, four black T100 chips.
He committed them when the river completed the board, but Dr. Stanley Graham quickly folded, despite getting roughly 250 to one on a call.
Every player at the table was stunned, except for Jernigan who silently pulled in the pot. He now has around 105,000 chips, while Graham dropped down to 120,000.
Mike Zduniak fired out 16,000 into a pot of around 50,000 on a completed board of . His opponent went deep into the tank, and eventually folded his hand.
"Show the bluff!" someone at the table urged.
Zduniak obliged, revealing for king-high, and he raked in the pot with a smile on his face.
