There was a lot of movement among the big stacks in the last level and when the dust settled, Ryan Dodd bagged the chip lead for this flight with 1,067,000. He just edged out Bob Van Syckle, who bagged 1,033,000. They were the only two bagging more than one million.

James McKinnon surged to 953,000, Matt Iles bagged 901,000, and a late-day rush for Jane Hitchcock had her bagging 879,000, good for fifth in Flight C.

An assortment of big stacks and others are listed below. All 109 of the Day 1c survivors will return tomorrow, joining those from the other three flights, in the Poker Room for Day 2 at 12 noon. A full list of chip counts with Day 2 seat assignments will be posted in the morning before the start of play.

Nooralian Takes Out Two on Three

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Steve Nooralian
Steve Nooralian

On the aforementioned tough Table 3:

Doug Shirk moved in for his last 33,600 under-the-gun, got a flat from Steve Nooralian, then Gary Gelman (bb) moved in for 66,200 total. Nooralian called that as well and it was three players all-in pre-flop.

Gelman: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Shirk: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Nooralian: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Nooralian improved to a full house, scooping both main and side pots and sending both opponents out.

Gelman re-entered and was back, drawing the same seat on Table 3, just a couple of hands later, with a fresh 100,000 Almighty stack.

Jamshidi Still in Hunt for Borgata Title

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Sirous Jamshidi
Sirous Jamshidi

Sirous Jamshidi is inarguably one of the most accomplished players in today's flight. With more than $2 million in reported tournament earnings, you would expect a long list of titles to his credit. He has just one, however, in the 2006 WSOP Circuit $1,570 NLH event.

Although they were not wins, what he does have is five six-figure scores. His best live cash of $659,730 came with his 16th place finish in the 2006 WSOP Main Event. His second-best live cash of $367,794 was for a runner-up finish in the 2010 Borgata Winter Poker Open $3,500 Championship NLH event, which was won by Jeff Madsen.

So what do you prefer? Titles or dollars? For some players, it's all about the Benjamins!

Malebranche Wants More

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Joe Malebranche
Joe Malebranche

Joe Malebranche was part of the seven-way adjusted payout deal that ended Event #3: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off NLH event, earning himself $58,915 for fourth place.

He's hoping for a repeat performance here in the Almighty Stack, which will also conclude on Saturday, one week after his bankroll-boosting finale of Event 3.

That's not even his best live cash though. Last month during the WSOP Circuit in Baltimore, he finished second in the main event for more than $69,000
