Two-Time WSOP Global Casino Champ Ryan Eriquezzo in the House

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Ryan Eriquezzo
Ryan Eriquezzo

A two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner is currently in action in the Day 1d field.

Ryan Eriquezzo is fresh off winning the 2019 WSOP Global Casino Championship for the second time in his career, good for $279,431. He previously won the tournament back in 2012 for $416,051 when it was called the WSOP National Championship. Interestingly, the man he beat heads-up this year, Eric Salazar, is also here at the Borgata competing in the Day 1c flight.

Eriquezzo is a beast when it comes to poker in Atlantic City; in fact, it was here in New Jersey that he qualified for the aforementioned tournaments thanks to victories in WSOP Circuit Main Events, the latest good for $124,397.

Only time will tell if Eriquezzo can keep the heater turned on here at the 2019 Borgata Poker Open!

Krasnecky Wins a Monster Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Josh Krasnecky

The under-the-gun player opened for 300 and the player in the cutoff called. The player on the button did the same, and Josh Krasnecky came along out of the big blind to make it four-way action to the flop, which came down {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Two checks saw the player in the cutoff bet 700 and the button called. Krasnecky then woke up with a check-raise to 2,000 and the original raiser got out of the way. The cutoff and button both called and the trio watched the dealer burn and turn the {q-Clubs}.

Krasnecky returned to checking and the player in the cutoff followed suit. The button then bet 3,000 and for the second time, Krasnecky check-raised it, this time making it 9,000 to go. The player in the cutoff thought long and hard before releasing his hand and the button called.

After the {j-Diamonds} was run out on the river, Krasnecky moved all in for 15,200 and the button, who had the bigger stack by a single T500 chip, paused a few beats before making the call.

Krasnecky rolled over the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for sixes full and the button mucked his hand.

"Running well when both guys have a queen and another queen on the turn," the player in the cutoff quipped, insinuating he had folded a queen on the turn.
