Rabinovich's River Bet Fails

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Allan Rabinovich
Allan Rabinovich

On the river with a board of {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, the under-the-gun player in Seat 7 checked over to Allan Rabinovich (middle position). He took a few moments, then tossed out a stack of 30,000, which almost covered his opponent, but not quite.

A couple of seconds was all it took for Seat 7 to make the call, showing {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for aces-up. Rabinovich mucked his hand without showing. Following that loss, his healthy stack slipped to 142,000.

Humphrey Wakes Up with a Monster

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jerry Humphrey sat in the hijack and was faced with a three-bet all-in to his direct right for around 36,000. Humphrey took a peek at his hand and snap-shoved for his 60,000 stack, players tabled their hands.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Jerry Humphrey: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The flop fell {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Humphrey's aces looked like a winner. A {6-Hearts} peeled off on the turn, sealing the deal for Humphrey who now had his opponent drawing dead to the {7-Spades} river card. Humphrey pulled in the pot with his bullets, eliminating his opponent in the process.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Ward's nines held on for the pot, grabbing a double through his opponent.

Bill Miller, Anthony Garofalo, & DJ MacKinnon

Some of the tables in the back of the Event Center are fairly stacked, filled with players who registered late or re-entered after busting out.

Table 39 is one of those, with a rugged lineup featuring Bill Miller, Anthony Garofalo, DJ MacKinnon, Chris Leong, Gary Kosakowski, and Natale Kuey.

So far it's the WPT Borgata WPO Champion who's leading the chip counts on this field of green with about 88,000.
