All That for a Chopped Pot

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Three players got their stacks all in pre-flop in a massive pot following the break and the hands were shown.

Player One: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Player Two: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Player Three: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} runout put a straight on the board and three players took back their stacks and chopped the pot.

Perfect-Perfect for Matos

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Carlos Matos
Carlos Matos

Carlos Matos and his opponent were heads up on the {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop when a raising war broke out.

The end result was Matos moving all in and his opponent snap calling. Matos turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} but he was in bad shape against the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of his opponent.

Matos would need a miracle to stay alive and he found it when the {8-Hearts} and {k-Spades} completed the board.

The table erupted as Matos hit runner runner to improve to a full house and vault to the top of the chip counts.

Level 15 is done and players have been rewarded with a dinner break. Play will resume at 8:30pm.

Just before dinner, Andrew Klein jammed over the top of a 16,000 bet by Charles Kassin on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. After Kassin folded, Klein showed his pocket queens.

John McGuinness is the chip leader as of the dinner break. "I won three flips in a row," he said, explaining how he's got nearly 500,000. His brother Mike is out, however.

Carlos Alvarado is climbing rapidly, already up to 348,000. "It's all for her," he says, showing a photo of his newborn baby girl Lily.
