Hall Crosses 5 Million Mark

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Peter Vitantonio raised to 80,000 from the hijack and Brandon Hall three-bet to 250,000 on the button for the blinds to fold. Vitantonio called to see the {6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} on the flop. He checked and now Hall fired a bet of 200,000 over the line which he called.

The turn brought them the {4-Hearts}, Vitantonio checked again. Hall bet 600,000 this time and Vitantonio called again.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades}, Vitantonio checked for the last time. Hall shoved with the bigger stack after using a time extension. Vitantonio folded.

Abrams Flops a Set

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alex Queen raised to 90,000 from under the gun and was called by Paul Snead in the hijack. Larry Abrams three-bet to 400,000 in the hijack for action to fold back to Queen who folded. Snead contemplated his options for a while, cut out calling chips, counting his stack, and then made the call after using two time extensions.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Snead checked and Abrams fired a stack of chips over the line to put Snead al-in who snap-folded. Abrams showed {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the set of queens.

Abrams Sets Up on the River

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Larry Abrams
Larry Abrams

Three players took a flop of {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Paul Snead (bb) checked to Larry Abrams (utg), who bet 90,000. Bin Weng (cutoff) folded and Snead called.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Snead checked again. Abrams fired 200,000 and again got the call.

River was the {5-Diamonds} and Snead checked for the third time. Abrams put out a bet of 450,000, but apparently made a motion with his hand first that Snead didn't care for. "That was a bullsh*t pump-fake," said Snead, believing Abrams was going to check before he made the river bet.

After the discussion was settled and the table and dealer agreed Abrams' hand moved, but never touched the felt, the bet stood and Snead called to see the bad news. Abrams tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the rivered set and Snead mucked his hand.

(Weng complimented Abrams on his flop bet, saying he folded pocket eights, which may have been the best hand at that point.)

Donald Maloney
Donald Maloney

Derek Marmen raised from under the gun and Donald Maloney shoved from the button for around 860,000. The blinds folded and Marmen called before Maloney's stack could be fully counted.

Donald Maloney: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Derek Marmen: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for Marmen to turn the pair of kings to seal the deal and send Maloney packing in 22nd place for $23,728.

A Bit More for Weng

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bin Weng raised to 85,000 from under the gun and action folded to Jorge Confesor in the big blind who opted to defend it.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Confesor check-called the 75,000 continuation-bet of Weng.

They both checked through the {8-Spades} on the turn to the {4-Spades} on the river. Confesor bet 165,000 and Weng called. Confesor tabled {q-Spades}{2-Spades} for the pair of deuces but Weng held {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the pair of nines to pick up the pot.

Weng Takes From Maloney

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Bin Weng
Bin Weng

Donald Maloney opened for 80,000 under-the-gun and Bin Weng three-bet to 255,000. Everyone else opted out and they went heads-up to the flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Maloney checked, as did Weng.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and this time Maloney led out for 190,000. Weng called.

River was the {j-Hearts}, pairing the board and killing the action. Both players checked.

Weng waited for Maloney to show his hand first, as the last aggressor, and Maloney tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for ace-high. Weng exhaled as he showed his {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for just a pair of eights to take the pot.

The Canadians Clash

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Veerab Zakarian
Veerab Zakarian

Veerab Zakarian raised to 90,000 from under the gun and was called by Patrick Serda and Andrew Hanna in the blinds. They all checked through the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} flop to the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Serda bet 125,000 and Zakarian was the only one to make the call. The river completed the board with the {2-Spades}, Serda fired a bet of 475,000 over the line and that was enough to Zakarian to give up on the hand.

The hand after, Serda raised to 100,000 from the button and Zakarian defended his big blind. They both checked through the {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and the {q-Spades} on the turn to the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Zakarian bet 175,000 and Serda called but mucked when Zakarian tabled {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the turned pair of queens.
