Himmelbrand Virtually Doubles in Eight-Figure Pot

Level 26 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Adam Calabrese from middle position and Greg Himmelbrand from the cutoff had build a pot of over 6,000,000 going into the river with the completed board reading 853Q8.

Calabrese checked a final time to Himmelbrand who announced a bet of 2,475,000, leaving just a single T-25,000 chip behind. Calabrese was uncomfortable with the spot but did not take too long before he elected to call.

Himmelbrand tabled KK, and his overpair was the winner. Calabrese lamented the runout, saying that he had ace-queen with the ace of diamonds, and Himmelbrand dragged a massive one.

The stacks were counted down and Kudrynskyy had 3,050,000. Thomas found himself barely covered, and he headed off to the payout desk.

Zong Yang Zhang opened to 325,000 from the hijack before the button moved all in for 1,200,000, and Zhang quickly called once it folded back to him.

Hijack: 77 All in

After losing to quad sevens the prior orbit, Zhang looked to avoid losing with an overpair again as the Q62 flop brought a sweat with the hijack holding the only spade. However, the board would run out KQ, leaving Zhang's tens best for the knockout.
