After winning an all in with jacks on the first hand of the day, the same hand would eventually lead to the downfall of Thomas Evers.

Nitish Gautam opened to 20,000 from the hijack before Jerick Rickert three-bet to 55,000 on the button. In the small blind, Evers cold-called, prompting Gautam to jam. Rickert got out of the way but Evers quickly called off his 111,000 stack.

Evers needed some help with the dominated pair, but the K♠7♦9♥ flop left him in dire straits. The 3♣ turn left him draw dead, and Gautam collected the pot after the 4♣ river, sending Evers to the rail.

Li Liang opened to 17,000 from the cutoff and was called by Chad Reynolds in the small blind and Jose Wong in the big blind.

The Q♣10♦5♠ flop checked through to the 3♣ turn which saw the action check to Liang again. She put out a bet of 25,000 and Reynolds quickly got out of the way. Wong inquired about the size of Liang's remaining stack before check-raising to 80,000, and Liang quickly called.

On the J♠ river, Wong jammed as the covering stack and Liang nearly beat him into the pot, calling off her 236,000 stack.

Liang had the soul read on Wong, who missed his combo draw as Liang made the right call with just third pair to double her stack.
