Day 1c of the $650 Super Deep 6-Max drew 160 entries, with the final 26 players making the money and securing their spots in Day 2.
Tanupat Punjarojanakul finished atop the chip counts with 833,000 after a huge late surge. His tournament life was on the line on the stone bubble when his suited ace-king rivered a flush to crack pocket queens, doubling him to around 450,000 chips. He continued his hot run through the bubble period, nearly doubling again before bagging the overnight lead.
Giuseppe Lomuscio (746,000) was the only other player to finish above 700,000, while James Lillis (482,000), David Golin (452,000), and Stefan Borzone (416,000) completed the top five.
The day ended with the elimination of BetMGM Poker ambassador Michael Lavin, who became the bubble boy.
Down to his final two big blinds, Lavin moved all in with pocket queens and was called by James Lauer, holding five-four suited. Lauer flopped two pair and held through the turn and river, bursting the bubble and bringing Day 1c to a close.
Day 1C Chip Counts
Two players also found success after taking advantage of the tournament's multi-flight format. Jose Wong and Nitish Gautam both returned after bagging shorter stacks in an earlier flight and significantly improved their positions.
Wong turned 56,000 into 162,000, while Gautam more than doubled his previous bag of 91,000, finishing Day 1c with 245,000.
