An exclusive group of some of the top poker players from around the globe descended on Sao Paulo over the past week in pursuit of big prize pools in the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) Super High Roller Series. That journey reaches its pinnacle today at the final table of the $500,000 ($100,000) Super High Roller Main Event.

Six players return to the WTC Sheraton at 4 p.m. local time to battle for the trophy and R$6,000,000 ($1,200,000 US) top prize. Zdenek Zizka, the young Czech backgammon master quickly establishing his reputation in poker, is the massive chip leader at the start of the day with 7,495,000, more than double his closest challenger.

Local superstar Felipe Boianovsky has already enjoyed a successful week, taking down the $50,000 Super High Roller for the biggest live win of his career. He’s the player best positioned to make a run at Zizka and chase a second trophy, sitting in second place with 3,560,000. Renan Bruschi rounds out the podium with 3,160,000.

The polarizing Martin Kabrhel sits in fourth place with 1,835,000, while Ottomar Ladva (985,000) and Gabriel Tavares (960,000) complete the rest of the final table lineup.

The final six survived the money bubble that went into the early hours of the morning yesterday and are guaranteed R$1,193,600 ($238,700 US) for making it this far out of a field of 36 entries. The action picks up with five hands remaining in Level 20 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an 80,000 big blind ante. Each subsequent level will last 28 hands.
