Tonin Makes the "Greatest Bluff in Brazilian Poker History"
Level 17
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Rafael Furlanetto raised to 50,000 in the hijack and Giorgio Tonin called in the cutoff. "Parana in, I'm automatically in," Martin Kabrhel said, referring to Furlanetto's hometown, as he came along in the big blind.
The flop came Q♥8♦9♥ and action checked to Tonin who bet 60,000. Kabrhel called, as did Furlanetto called.
Tonin bet another 185,000 on the 4♥ turn, and Kabrhel folded this time. Furlanetto again called, and the 7♦ fell on the river. Tonin then bet 1,000,000.
Furlanetto used up a few time banks before folding, saying he had two pair, and Gregory Fabiao used his winner showdown card. Tonin turned over A♥J♦ as he took in the pot.
"One of the greatest bluffs in Brazilian poker history," Kabrhel added.
