The 2018 Summer-Edition of the Cash Game Festival London at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City is now in the books after five days of amazing action both on and away from the felts. At peak times, the poker room hosted two dozen tables with many running 24 hours a day during the five-day festival.

Cash Game Festival Co-Founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk has now won two of the last three Cash Game Festival trophies awarded to the player that has won the most big blinds during any of the ten televised feature tables.

He accomplished this by booking a profit of £1,500 or 750 big blinds at an action-packed £2/£2 pot-limit Omaha feature table in London after also winning a trophy in Bratislava in April.

This makes Von Zweigbergk the only player outside of Norway's Jon Kyte to win two Cash Game Festival trophies. Kyte and Von Zweigbergk are friend away from the felt but have a fierce rivalry on the tables.

"I just won my second trophy, I think that is super cool," Von Zweigbergk shared after he won the trophy. "Jon Kyte, I am after you. We are now two to two. I will win."

To make the rivalry even deeper, Von Zweigbergk was one hand away from also winning a trophy in Tallinn in late April, which would have led to three trophies in a row after snagging one in London. Instead, Kyte dashed the hopes of Von Zweigbergk that festival and won the big hand and at that point became the first-ever two-time Cash Game Festival trophy winner.

No-one else really came close to Von Zweigbergk as he ran away with the trophy in dominant fashion. However, Chris Yong was able to book two big wins at £5/£5 no-limit hold'em and £5/£5 pot limit Omaha feature tables.

Meanwhile, Eddie Anderson had the best overall performance at a feature table after winning £3,690 in £5/£10 hold'em.

The feature table is just part of reason cash game players fall in love with the festival. As is always the case, there were games available for everyone with players enjoying no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, pot-limit Omaha high/low, Sviten Special, super dealer's choice, and more at stakes low and high.

Another major draw of the festival is what happens away from the tables. Every festival also features amazing activities away from the tables where players with similar interests can bond. Old friends met and bonded and new friends were made on and away from the tables.

Also, players that won packages to London and those that purchased the hospitality package were invited to enjoy themselves in organized activities with other poker players including welcome drinks, two VIP dinners, a FIFA competition, and more.

Don't Miss Bulgaria

If you were unable to make it out to Estonian capital of Tallinn, rest assured you will not have to wait too long to enjoy the next festival.

On Aug. 8-12, the Cash Game Festival will return for the third time to Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria for another five days of nonstop cash game action. The location is truly special with its location being steps away from the beach and the previous two stops featuring wild prop bets, both involving Von Zweigbergk.

Jon Kyte and Martin von Zweigbbergk will both battle it out for a chance to become the first three-time Cash Game Festival trophy winner along many others.

As usual, the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to report on all the events both on and away from the tables.

The final feature table is in the books and Ryan "Metalface" Davey won £641 or 320.5 big blinds to win the most at the £2/£2 pot-limit Omaha table.

This wasn't enough to surpass the 750 big blinds won by Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk and he joined Jon Kyte to become the festival's second-ever trophy winner.

Franke Trying to Defend

The last feature table has just kicked off with the game set at £2/£2 pot-limit Omaha. Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk, who is in line for the trophy as is, is on the table looking to fend off anyone that can beat the 750 big blinds won during the Day 1 Omaha stream.

The line-up is action packed with aggressive players, so anything can happen. Tune into the stream commentated by PokerNews Editor Jason Glatzer and others.

Louis Lambert Was the Biggest Winner on Second to Last Feature Table

Louis Lambert

Louis Lambert won £315, which proved to be the most at the £2/£2 no-limit hold'em table. This isn't good enough for trophy contention. The 157.5 big blinds won aren't near the 750 Cash Game Festival Co-Founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk won on Day 1.

Von Zweigbergk will be back to try to defend his lead against the likes of Kevin Malone, James Simms, Ryan Davey, Ed Furniss, and others at the final feature table of the festival, a £2/£2 pot-limit Omaha affair.

Estonian Jesus Is Back

Rauno Tahvonen

The £2/£2 no-limit hold'em feature table just kicked off. Cash Game Festival's George Sandford and PokerNews' Jason Glatzer will be co-hosting the commentary.

Among the players at the feature table is Unibet Poker Ambassador Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen. Stay tuned to see if his cash game is as strong as his tournament game.

In addition to Estonian Jesus there are quite a few players that have never appeared at a Cash Game Festival feature table before. It should be interesting to see how they adjust to playing under the lights and cameras.

Will Franke's Big Win on Day 1 Be Good Enough to Win the Trophy?

Cash Game Festival London Trophy

Welcome to PokerNews' live coverage of the final day of the 2018 Cash Game Festival London at Aspers Casino.

During the first four days, players enjoyed around-the-clock poker action along with many events organized by the festival including kicking things off with welcome drinks. Today players are enjoying the last rounds of a FIFA competition that began on Day 3 before the World Cup Finals and the first feature table begin.

Among the players playing deep into the night were Unibet Poker Ambassador Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen, Aigars Dambrans and Cash Game Festival commentators George Sandford and Henry Kilbane.

As was the case during every day during the festival, the first televised feature table today will feature a £2/£2 no-limit hold'em affair at 6 p.m. BST on a 20-minute delay before the table switches up to £2/£2 pot-limit Omaha at 9 p.m.

Going into Day 5, Cash Game Festival Co-Founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk is in the lead after impressively winning £1,500 on a £2/£2 Omaha table or 750 big blinds. If Franke's lead holds, he will join Cash Game Festival regular Jon Kyte as the only two-time winners of the coveted trophy.

There will be two more chances today for this score to be beaten. Franke plans to appear at the very last feature table, which should add a bit more excitement.

We asked Franke what his thoughts were about going into today with a good chance to become the second two-time trophy winner.

"I am the bestest," shared Franke. "Where are you Jon Kyte?"

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be providing updates with some 2018 Cash Game Festival London highlights of action on and off the felts throughout the day. Coverage of the poker action will begin around 5:00 p.m.
