Thai Ha
Thai Ha

Three opening flights and 199 entries have all come down to this Tuesday as 26 players return to Champions Club Texas to vie for the title in the $1,100 PLO Championship.

Along with the trophy, the winner takes home the bulk of the $192,035 prizepool in the form of a $45,795 payday.

Each of the returning players has locked up a min-cash of $2,290, but that five-figure payday is what everyone will have their eye on when they take their seats at 5 p.m. CT.

Thai Ha comes into the day with the chip lead after bagging 940,000 to top Day 1b.

Ha is on the verge of a second Winter Poker Open title after winning the series-opening Monster Stack event for $21,000. He’s closely followed to start the day by Carson Wieland who bagged the Day 1c chip lead of 805,000. Opening flight chip leader Steven McKuin starts the day fourth with 507,000 chips.

Keem Takes Lead With Elimination of Koenigsberg

Sung Keem

A massive pot has just seen Sung Keem take over the chip lead while eliminating Andrew Koenigsberg.

Carson Wieland started the action with a raise to 14,000 under the gun. Koenigsberg called before Keem three-bet to 50,000 on the button.

Both opponents called to see the K65 flop, and action checked to Keem who bet 35,000. Again both opponents called.

The trio saw the 6 turn and things got spicy.

Wieland now led for 175,000, Koenigsberg moved all in for 116,000, and Keem then moved in over top for 435,000.

Wieland deliberated for a bit before folding, leaving Keem to cooler Koenigsberg.

Andrew Koenigsberg: 7765
Sung Keem: AAKK

Keem's kings full had Koenigsberg's sixes full crushed, with the 4 on the river ending his day.

Meanwhile, Michael Kuney was also eliminated at an adjacent table.

WSOP bracelet winner Joseph Dulaney, a.k.a. "Fireman Scott" was all in on the turn for just under 140,000 on a board of AK87. He was called by Liam McDonough to his immediate left.

Joseph Dulaney: Q1098
Liam McDonough: AKJ9

The 5 fell on the river as Dulaney missed his multitude of draws, leaving himself with just a pair of eights, while McDonough's aces and kings earned him the pot.

Turov's Check-Raise Does the Trick

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 3,000 ante

On a four-way flop of 953, Danylo Turov and Roger Franco checked the blinds to Steven McKuin who bet 32,000 under the gun.

Kyle Arora called on the button before Turov check-potted it to 205,000. Franco and McKuin quickly folded, but Arora took a bit of time as a call would essentially commit his stack.

After a bit of thought, he opted to fold, sending the sizeable pot to Turov.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Chang was just eliminated at the far table in the room.
