Hoch Flops the Nuts

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Paul Hoch
Paul Hoch

Dimitrios Adrianakos opened to 1,100 and received a call in middle position as action folded around to the button, where Aaron Thomas also called. Both blinds also came along, the latter of which was Paul Hoch, and the five saw a flop of {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Action checked to Adrianakos and he made a continuation-bet of 6,000. Middle position folded, Thomas called, and the small blind folded before Hoch announced a check-raise all in.

"A call is announced," said the dealer immediately thereafter as Adrianakos verbalized his action to send action back onto Thomas. Thomas went into the tank for over a minute, stating at one point that he had outs, and eventually folded.

Paul Hoch: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Dimitrios Adrianakos: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Hoch's flopped nuts needed only to fade running outs to Adrianakos' overpair, and he did that with ease as {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} left Adrianakos dead to the river en route to the double.

Welch Puts His Opponent to the Test

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Jason Welch
Jason Welch

Around 15,000 was in the middle on a board reading {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} with heads-up action between the hijack and Jason Welch, who was on the button.

"Eight thousand," announced the hijack as he threw out a bet for the same amount.

"All in," responded Welch without much delay, putting his opponent to a decision for his remaining 12,000. The hijack went into the tank for close to a minute and then sent his cards forward along the felt to earn Welch the pot.

Meanwhile, Justin Liberto has re-entered and received a new stack of 30K.

Ramadanis Takes Liberto's Stack

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Andreas Ramadanis
Andreas Ramadanis

Under the gun raised to 1,200 and received calls from Andreas Ramadanis in early position and Aaron Thomas in middle position. Justin Liberto was on the button and re-jammed for 6,900.

The original raiser and Ramadanis both called, with Thomas folding behind to take heads-up action postflop for the side pot. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} and the original raiser checked. Ramadanis bet 3,100 and was called. The turn was {5-Spades} and the original raiser check-folded to another 5,100 from Ramadanis.

Justin Liberto: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Andreas Ramadanis: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Ramadanis' queens were out in front of Liberto's nines and Liberto failed to hit a set or connect with his backdoor gutshot straight draw on the river to bring about his elimination. He tapped the felt and wished the table good luck before making his way from the tournament area.

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Greg Collins
Greg Collins

Greg Collins was down to his last 6,300 and got it in preflop in the small blind, receiving action from Daniel Sandoval in the big blind. Multiple other players committed chips prior, though no one else wished to dance.

Greg Collins: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Daniel Sandoval: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Collins was slightly out in front and pulled further ahead with each passing street of the runout {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, scoring him the double to stay alive.
