Today's field has already grown to 150 entrants. This is well more than the 104 entrants during the entire Day 1a.
The field will likely continue to grow in huge numbers as players late-register and reenter the tournament. Regardless of what happens the rest of the day, the first-ever Coolbet Open Main Event will go down in history as a huge success.
Janar Kokk has come back to his home country for a stint and is in today's Day 1b field. Although from Estonia, Kokk can be in any country at any given time.
He is looking to win his first big live tournament in his home country and so far he is off to a good start.
On the very first hand of the day, a player on the button raised to 150 before Kokk three-bet to 400 from the small blind.
His opponent called and Kokk led out for 600 after the flop came . Kokk got a call before he led out for 1,300 after the came on the turn.
Kokk's opponent thought for a moment before giving up on the hand.
Tournament Director Teresa Nousianen made preliminary introductions and announcements to players in the field. The button position was determined based off a draw on Table 9.
Day 1b action officially began after Poker Manager of Coolbet Thomas Pasgaard Hviid welcomed players to the Main Event before he announced, "Shuffle up and deal!"
Players are filing into the poker room and taking their seats. The big board already reads 100 players in today's field or almost the same as yesterday's 104 that entered throughout the entire day including reentries.
Welcome to Day 1b of the 2018 Coolbet Open €550 Main Event hosted at Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Park Hotel.
Yesterday, the first-ever Coolbet Open Main Event kicked off in style by attracting 104 entrants or more than tournament organizers were estimating. Estonia's Dmitri Zatsik topped yesterday's field by bagging a huge stack of 163,700 in chips with United Kingdom's Craig Timmis (152,600) and Norway's Jan C. Kongsgard (150,300) not too far behind.
Today's field size is expected to be much bigger with all of the satellite qualifiers scheduled for the second and final opening day.
As was the case yesterday, players will begin the deep-stacked tournament with 30,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 45-minutes. Day 1b features eight blind levels with the action for the day expecting to end at approximately 8:30 p.m. EEST.

Also, players not happy with the number of chips they bagged can void their stack and start with a fresh stack of 30,000 in chips.
There is plenty of action each day at the Coolbet Open with 26 side events complementing the showcased Main Event.
