The Coolbet Open €550 Main Event at Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Park Hotel has thus far been a huge success.

The tournament attracted 368 entrants from the two opening flights with 264 advancing to Day 2. With late registration open until the first blind level of Day 2, the field ballooned to 425 entrants to generate a massive prize pool of €206,125.

First place is slated to win a whopping €50,900 with each of the 39 players advancing to the third and final day on Saturday each guaranteed a payout of €1,155.

Norway's Kristoffer Skolem is in the driver's seat to enter the final day with a huge stack of 994,000 and blinds starting off at 4,000/8,000 with an ante of 1,000. Not too far behind Skolem are Finland's Sebastian Wahl (second - 829,000) and Norway's Alen Coralic (third -707,000). Notable in the top of the standings is Dutchman Sander van Wesemael, who boasts over $700,000 in lifetime winnings. 'The Weasel', as he is affectionally known, sits in fourth with 573,000.

Ave Lepik

Day 2 ended after Estonia's Ave Lepik finished in 40th place to bubble the tournament when her ace-king didn't outflip the pocket jacks held by countrymate Jaagup Luhakooder. Both players had a set, however, Luhakooder's jacks full of deuces was better than Lepik's deuces full of aces.

Lepik didn't walk away empty-handed. The Coolbet Open is awarding an additional €30,000 in prizes in the Main Event on top of the prize pool. For bubbling the tournament, Lepik was awarded a free Coolbet Open Main Event ticket valued at €550 the next time the festival takes place in October.

Notable players to start the day but not survive were Kim Christensen, who began the day as the chip leader and Day 1a chip leader Dmitri Zatsik. Also not surviving were Coolbet founder Jan Svendsen, Carmen-Elina Vist, Jon Kyte, Espen Uhlen Jorstad, and Jussi Mattila.

The final day kicks off tomorrow at 12 p.m. with 39 hopefuls battling it out in hopes to win the first-ever Coolbet Open Main Event trophy and the €50,100 top prize.

Live streaming commentated by Andrew "Picasso" Hedley will begin once the field is trimmed down to 24 players which will be available in our coverage under the Live Stream tab.

Stay tuned at PokerNews tomorrow as we bring to you the conclusion of the Coolbet Open Main Event at Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Park Hotel.

Ave Lepik Bubbles with Big Slick

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ave Lepik
Ave Lepik

On the seventh hand during the bubble hand-for-hand, Ave Lepik jammed for less than ten big blinds and Jaagup Luhakooder with a much bigger stack called.

Ave Lepik: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Jaagup Luhakooder: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds} was the first card out of the window on the flop to give Lepik top pair followed the {J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to give Lepik a set. It appeared the crowd was rooting for Lepik with various "Oh my God," types of expressions being shouted out.

After the {2-Clubs} paired the board on the turn, one player shouted for an ace, stating she now had two outs.

However, the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river to give Lepik a full house, just not as good as the one that Jaagup completed on the turn.

Players are now bagging and tagging chips. We will have chip updates and the recap available soon.

Levy Eliminates Smirnov

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Ariel Tabach Levy
David Ariel Tabach Levy

Aleksei Smirnov jammed for 50,000 with {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and got called by David Ariel Tabach Levy with {A-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop was safe for Smirnov. However, he left his seat when the {k-Spades} appeared on the turn. His day was over after the {5-Spades} appeared on the river.

The action is now hand-for-hand with 40 players remaining. The player that bubbles in 40th place will still walk away with a ticket to the next Coolbet Open Main Event in October.

All other players will bag and tag their chips while also ending the night with the knowledge they have at least cashed for the minimum payout of €1,155 in the event.

Three Away from the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

There are now 42 players left with 39 getting paid. The player that bubbles in 40th place will also walk away with a nice prize, a ticket to the next Coolbet Open Main Event in October valued at €550.

Esa Kostet Eliminated with a Full House

Esa Kostet open jammed 31,000 with {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and got a call from Adam Andersson with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Kostet was drawing almost dead after an ace spiked the {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop. The {8-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Spades} on the river gave Kostet the full house and the table erupted not believing what just happened to Kostet.

"He could have only lost to aces or queens," one player said.

Konstantinov Gets Some Back at the Expense of Alaväli

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jargo Alaväli
Jargo Alaväli

Aleksandr Konstantinov jammed for 110,000 with a little less than that in the pot on a {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board. Jargo Alaväli went into the tank for at least five minutes.

Eventually, the clock was called and the countdown began. As the countdown hit zero, Alaväli pushed a pile of chips into the pot.

Konstantinov turned over {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} for three of a kind while Konstantinov tossed his hand into the muck. The tournament director asked Alaväli what he had since as it was an all-in situation, players had a right to know.

He shared he had a {q-} which was good enough for the tournament director after another player confirmed they saw this card.
