Gordo Grabs Big Lead, Wasenius Left Shortest

Guillermo Gordo made a raise to 160,000 on the button. Ole Wasenius flat-called in the small blind, after which both players checked the J♣J♦9♠ flop.

Wasenius also checked the 5♠ turn, but Gordo picked up the aggression and bet 125,000. Wasenius called, making the K♠ appear on the river.

A third check followed by Wasenius. Gordo dropped a bet of 400,000 on the table, and Wasenius snapped off his opponent.

Gordo revealed Q♠J♠ for flopped trips turned into a flush, beating the Q♥10♦ of Wasenius, who had rivered a straight but lost the pot

Gordo continued for 200,000 on the J♠7♦8♥ flop, with Lund quickly check-calling. The Q♣ turn saw Gordo size up to 500,000, which Lund deemed too much to call.

He folded face-up, and the players quickly vacated the table to go on dinner break.

Guillermo Gordo was first to act and raised to 200,000 with 10♥9♠. Asgeir Lund defended his big blind wth Q♠7♠, and the two big stacks went to a flop of 2♥K♣Q♣. Lund checked, Gordo bet 150,000, and Lund instantly called.

The J♠ turn emerged from the deck, seeing Gordo size up to 550,000 as he had made a straight. Lund had seen enough and correctly folded his second pair, surrendering the pot to the chipleader.
