2025 Coolbet Poker Open
Antti-Jussi Puotiniemi raised to 6,000 under the gun. Jarkko Toijanen called in the hijack, while Oystein Nordli and Claudio Stachura did so in the blinds.
Puotiniemi continued for 16,000 on the 9♣Q♠3♦ flop. Only Nordli called to the 5♠ turn, with Toijanen and Stachura saying goodbye to their hands.
Puotiniemi flicked in another 21,000, which Nordli quickly check-called. Puotienimi then dumped 45,000 in the middle on the A♥ river, but Nordli had seen enough and quickly check-folded his holding.
The remaining players have been sent on another break of 15 minutes.
Life Outside Poker is a podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the 33rd episode, Connor talks with comedian and poker commentator Joe Stapleton about growing up in Albany, New York, first seeing Rounders while visiting a college campus, working at MADtv, getting his start in the poker industry and his favorite memories from PokerStars The Big Game.
Stapleton also talked about his friendship with late comedian Norm Macdonald, the European Poker Tour (EPT), doing commentary at the 2025 WSOP and making the "worst mistake I ever made in my entire life" by attempting to make a documentary about a stand-up comedy tour.

Hans Michaelsen open-jammed for 58,000 in the cutoff. Sigurjon Thordarson called on the button fr 57,500 before the blinds got out of the way.
Sigurjon Thordarson: A♠A♥
Hans Michaelsen: 6♦6♣
The Q♥J♥9♣9♦2♦ board brought no surprises, and Thordarson doubled up. Michaelsen, meanwhile, was left with a chip of the smallest denomination and needed a miracle comeback to remain in contention.
Jeremy Doll raised to 10,000 in early position. Asgeir Lund defended his big blind before the dealer fanned the 2♥Q♠4♠ flop. Doll continued for 11,000, but Lund had other plans and check-raised all in for about 260,000.
"Why?" Doll asked his opponent several times as he quickly mucked Ax5x. Lund only smiled as he added more chips to his ever-growing stack.
Jesse Huostila made it 8,000 to go in the hijack. Logi Laxdal called in the cutoff before Lauri Laast three-bet to 21,000 on the button.
Huostila and Laxdal both called to the 2♥K♠6♣ flop, where Laast continued for 17,000. Huostila and Laxdal quickly mucked, prompting Laast to confidently table 10♥10♣.
"I had jacks," claimed Laxdal, however. He had folded the best hand and could only look on as the pot was shipped to his neighbor.
