The player in middle position opened the action with a raise to 1,200. It folded to Jarmo Salonen, who three-bet to 4,800 in the big blind. The player in middle position called, and he called again when Salonen continued for 4,000 on the 8♦J♥Q♠ flop.
The A♠ turn and 7♣ river were subsequently checked to showdown. Salonen showed A♥K♣, and his top pair was enough to take the pot as the player in middle position mucked.

Preflop, Stefan Olofsson had committed his last 12,000 preflop from middle position and was up against Maksim Petrov in the cutoff.

In a pot of 12,000, Joakim Fjar bet 3,500 from the big blind on the 10♥3♥K♣10♣ turn. Sergei Semitkin called in the cutoff, and he swiftly called again when Fjar moved all in for 11,500 on the 9♥ river.
Fjar showed 10♠3♠ for a full house, besting Semitkin's Q♦J♦, which had rivered no-good straight. Fjar doubled up, leaving Semitkin with just four big blinds.
Semitkin lost his last chips not much later, and he joined Tarmo Pikk at the rail. Meanwhile, Igor Pihela, Skuli Sigfusson, and Yngve Lommerud had all busted their second bullet of Day 1a.
Picking up the action on a completed 8♠5♠3♣4♦4♥ board, Eskil Kvamvold checked from the small blind to Sindre Roenquist on the button, who bet 5,000 into the pot of 16,000.
Kvamvold debated his options for a bit, then reluctantly tossed in a calling chip. Roenquist showed K♠K♥ for an overpair, winning him the pot.
Having amassed a 11,500 pot, cutoff Miko Puisto and Yngve Lommerud on the button headed to the 4♠10♣5♠ flop. Puisto checked to Lommerud, who bet 3,000.
Puisto called after some thought, but he promptly led out for 8,000 when the turn came the J♦.
Lommerud did not need long before he decided to surrender, folding his hand to concede the pot.
