Picking up the action on a A♠5♠4♥8♦ turn, Viacheslav Novoselov checked from the big blind to Kristen Merila in the cutoff. Merila added 2,500 to the pot of 13,300, and Brage Aasen called on the button.
Novoselov also called, after which he promptly moved all in for 8,400 on the Q♠ river. Merila asked for a count, then called, while Aasen quickly folded.
Novoselov sighed as he showed A♥2♥, not enough to best the 5♥5♦ of Merila.

Kenneth Olaisen raised to 200 under the gun. Markus Karpijoki called in the cutoff, and Alexander Tennback followed suit on the button. Brenden Oystein then three-bet to in the small blind, folding out Olaisen and Karpijoki.
Tennback called to the 7♠2♥Q♠ flop, however, where he called Oystein's continuation-bet of 1,200 as well. Oystein sized up to 3,500 on the K♥ turn, seeing Tennback toss in more calling chips.
Oystein then slowed down with a check on the 6♣ river. Tennback responded with a bet of 10,000, causing Oystein to make a quick fold.
Three-way to the 10♦8♣5♦ with 4,700 in the pot. John Blomberg bet 2,000 from the small blind. Magnus Kristiansen called under the gun, and Oystein Stai did so on the button.
Blomberg sized up to 5,000 on the 6♠ turn. Kristiansen flicked in a small raise to 11,000, folding out Oystein. Blomberg quickly pushed in his stack of 21,000, and Kristiansen called after a few seconds of thought.

Kristiansen's two pair became a full house on the 5♥ river, marking Blomberg as the first elimination of Day 1b.
On a J♥3♣9♣K♥ turn, Stefan Olofsson checked from the big blind. Martin Willborg then added 1,200 to the pot of 4,000, and Olofsson called.
Olofsson check-called again when Willborg bet 4,800 on the 10♦ river. Willborg showed K♣Q♠ for a straight, and Olofsson conceded the pot by mucking his cards.
Arriving on the 2♠Q♠J♣10♣8♠ river with around 3,000 in the pot, Manuel Lopes bet 500 from the big blind. Jonathan Christensen then raised to 2,500 in the cutoff, and Lopes quickly called.
Christensen tabled A♠7♠ for a rivered flush, and Lopes sent his cards to the muck in response.
