Ahead of the latest PLO Grand Slam stop, German soccer player and 2020 Olympian Max Kruse has been appointed as the official ambassador of the Diamond Poker Series. Kruse represented the German National Team on 14 occasions. His first goal for his country came against the United States before he found the back of the net three more times in other matches.
Kruse put together a stellar career in the Bundesliga (German First Division), registering 131 goals in 460 league appearances, alongside winning the DFL-Supercup in 2015.
At the 2022 World Series of Poker Europe, Kruse clinched victory in Event #7: €1,650 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed for €134,152 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
The players have been sent on their first 15-minute break of the day.
"eee" raised to 7,000 from middle position and was met with a three-bet to 24,000 by Giorgos Tsoupras in the cutoff. The action folded back to "eee", who stuck in a call.
Both players checked the 3♥2♦8♥ flop through to the 3♦ turn, where Tsoupras bet 16,000 after another check from "eee". "eee" called and the 5♠ appeared on the river.
Tsoupras sized up to 42,500, sending "eee" in the tank. After some pondering and some speech play, "eee" stuck in the call.
Tsoupras tabled A♦K♣10♣5♦ for fives and threes, which was not enough against the K♥K♦4♦4♣ of "eee", who won the pot with kings and threes.

Hossein Ensan limped in under the gun, "Alakazam" made it 9,000 to go in the hijack, and Daniel Tordjman called in the big blind. Ensan also came along and the flop fell 5♣J♦2♥.
The action checked to "Alakazam", who put in a bet of 15,000. Both Tordjman and Ensan called to the 3♦ turn, where Tordjman led out for 60,000.
Ensan took another look at his cards before letting them go, and "Alakazam" quickly followed suit, shipping the pot to Tordjman uncontested.

Fabian Riebau-Schmithals fired a pot-sized bet of 27,500 from the small blind on a flop of 8♦4♣2♠. Kasparas Klezys called in the big blind before both players checked the 8♣ turn and 6♦ river.
"Ace-six," Riebau-Schmithals declared. Klezys turned over A♦10♠10♦9♠ for tens and eights and was awarded the pot when Riebau-Schmithals mucked his cards.
"Maybe I should have bet," the latter pondered after the hand.
