Level 29
: Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Gheorghe Butuc in the big blind raised to 450,000 after Sebastian Ionita limped in the small blind.
Ionita called, then checked the flop Q♠6♣5♥. Butuc didn't wait to bet 275,000, but Ionita check-raised to 875,000. Butuc eventually called.
The 4♣ came on the river, and Ionita continued with a bet of 1,300,000. Butuc raised all in for 3,600,000, and Ionita snap-called.
Gheorghe Butuc: Q♣10♣
Sebastian Ionita: 8♣7♣
Unfortunatelly for him, Butuc was drawing dead as Ionita hit the best possible straight. Chip leader at the beginning of the final table, Butuc waited for the river 5♣ before leaving in 3rd place for €17,200.
