Day 1cd Completed
Day 1s of the 2023 €560 Eurasian Poker Tour Main Event at 888poker Room in Bucharest are now over. Today, Friday, November 10 was the last opportunity to qualify for Day 2. A lot of players wanted to do so, as 173 participants were recorded on Day 1c, then 89 runners on Day 1d Turbo. Across all starting flights, a total of 486 entries were made on this EAPT Bucharest Main Event.
Ionut Voinea navigated through the large field of 1c perfectly, ending up with the biggest stack (826,000) and claiming the overall chip lead. Second in chips, Stefan Ionita bagged 644,000, just a few chips more than the third stack of the day (620,000).

PokerNews didn't ask how he felt when the day ended, but Alexis Kivu was probably relieved after he almost bubbled Day 1a and failed to qualify on 1b. He finally made it and will be back on Day 2 with 271,000. Same feeling for Jonathan Klingenberg, who had a short stack but burst the bubble in a three-way all in to finish with 239,000, or for Andreia Coman. She had to fire a few bullets in the last days, but secured a stack of 103,000 chips.

For the last places on Day 2, players of Day 1d had to wait almost until sunrise to qualify, as Emeric Farkas was eliminated on the bubble at 5:40 a.m., after nineteen full levels of play. In the end, 13 players made it to Day 2, led by Dumitru Barta (657,000), who struggled to count his stack because of tiredness, and by Doru Horghidan (515,000).
Among all four flights, 69 players reached Day 2. However, there will be 73 players tomorrow, Saturday, November 11, as four lucky men out of a field of 30 entrants qualified through an Online Day. Claudiu Spatariu (461,000), Razvan Paduraru (268,000), Gheorghe Butuc (246,000), and Maciej Plocki (225,000) will now have to use their skills live.
Day 2 is set to begin at 2 p.m. local time, picking up at the earliest finishing time from one of the starting flights (25:00 in Level 14, 3,000/5,000 and a 5,000 big blind ante). Levels will also increase to 45 minutes, and the payouts will be announced at the beginning of the Day.
PokerNews will follow the action the entire way and provide live updates as the field whittles toward the final nine.

The 26 remaining players of Day 1c are known. They qualified for Day 2 and are in the money.
While short stacks were praying to reach the money, one of them shoved for 64,000 in middle position. Then Jonathan Klingenberg reshoved for approximately 90,000 in the cutoff. And finally, Costel Tarciuc also added his 47,000 last chips in the pot from the big blind.
Costel Tarciuc: A♠Q♠
Middle position player: A♣10♣
Jonathan Klingenberg: K♠K♦
The flop of 2♠Q♥4♥ brought a pair to Tarciuc, who still needed more to stay in the tournament. But the K♥ on the turn left Tarciuc and the second short stack drawing dead, as it gave a set to Klingenberg.
So after the river 5♥, both of them were eliminated at the same time, which means that the bubble burst and that the day is over.
Cards went on their backs on Table 4 after Gusti Sas moved all in for roughly 150,000, and was called by Stefan Ionita.
Gusti Sas: K♥Q♠
Stefan Ionita: A♠Q♥
The board of 2♣4♥J♣4♦J♥ didn't change anything, and Sas was eliminated.
