Brucie Bonus

Daniel Mangas made it 1,700, Chris Bjorin called, but Chris Bruce forced both players to fold by moving all in for around 10,000. After a smidgen of encouragement, he showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Devilfish Eliminated

"I drink six gallons of vodka and four gallons of Red Bull."
"I drink six gallons of vodka and four gallons of Red Bull."
I knew Devilfish was officially eliminated when I wandered through the cash game area and spotted him playing high stakes Pot Limit Omaha. I watched one hand where he busted a player when his top set held up against a straight flush draw. That pot was worth well over £2,500 or half of what he lost buying into the PokerStars.com EPT London.

New Chip Leader

The chip lead seems to be swinging back and forth like a Creed/Rocky bout, the latest player to enjoy his moment at the top being French-Canadian qualifier Phillippe Dauteuil. He has just overtaken Scotty Nguyen as chip leader with 85,025 and now has a row of chips that would make the Great Wall of China look small.

Random Droppings

Roland de Wolfe was moved to Jean-Robert Bellande's table. De Wolfe is without a massage therapist for the first time in hours. He's sitting on a 15,000 stack while an exasperated Bellande has around 10,000.

Michaela Johansson from Sweden survived a difficult table with both Devilfish and Barry Greenstein. Her stack is around 10,000 and she has been moved to a table with two Team PokerStars members... Isabelle Mercier and Andre Akkari.

And where's Vivek Rajkumar? The young gun from Seattle, WA won the $10,000 main event championship at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City a couple of weeks ago. He was flirting with a shortstack and as Snoopy would say, "he is currently missing and presumed dead."

Aces vs. Kings

Early pace-setter Patrick Sacrispeyre is now down to just several thousand after enduring a deck colder than a mother-in-law's kiss. With Richard Walters raising it up from the button, Sacrispeyre must have thought all his dreams had come true when he looked down to find {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} in the big blind, and made the inevitable raise. But a raise or two later and Sacrispeyre knew he may be in hot water, Walters confirming those doubts by revealing {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. "Jesus, this is big," observed Walters astutely. The {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} made no difference, and the 'big' 55,000 pot went to the American.

Phil Ivey Eliminated

"Hurry up and bust me already, I'm losing money not playing nose bleed cash games while sitting around here with you Eurodonks."
"Hurry up and bust me already, I'm losing money not playing nose bleed cash games while sitting around here with you Eurodonks."
I missed the hand but saw Ivey wandering around aimlessly through the casino.
