"So, what the strategy then?" I inquired.

, but unable to fend off {A-Diamonds}

which improved to see the Spaniard double through to 41,000. The Hoff, meanwhile, drops to 54,000.

I wonder if Maceiras shouted, "Juan Time!"

Marc Naalden pushed all in from the button with {K-Clubs}

for around 20,000 and Morten Lassen called in the big blind with {K-Hearts}

. Although Lassen claimed "I'm ahead" as the {Q-Diamonds}

flop hit the felt, no backdoor antics occurred as the {A-Diamonds}

turn and

river drew a blank. Chop it up.

With Martin Prusa raising to 1,800 preflop, a short-stacked Nikolaj Tsanev pushed all in from mid position. With his arms folded, he stood behind his chair and waited patiently as the action grounded to a halt on seat one. Clearly with a tricky decision to make, seat one rubbed his chin, scratched his head and shook his head slightly. Forget a knife, you could cut the tension with a toothpick; you could just sense a big pot was near. A minute or two later, one player asked, "You do realise it's your go, don't you?" to which seat one responded with an immediate fold.

With the rest of the players giggling, play found it's way back to Prusa, who made the call and showed {A-Spades}
