Like His Hand, Golser Busto

Markus Golser showed up to today's event sporting a cast on his hand after a skiing accident at the PokerNews Cup Alpine event earlier this month. His tournament fortunes today didn't fare any better than his hand. He was one of two players to call a preflop raise, in position, to 300. The flop came down {Q-Spades}

and the under-the-gun player followed up his preflop raise with a bet of 700. Only Golser called.

Golser had 3,400 left in his stack for a turn card of {A-Clubs}

. When the under-the-gun player bet 1,700, Golser moved the rest of those chips into the middle. His opponent quickly called with top two pair, {A-Hearts}

. That left Golser's {K-Clubs}

looking for a club for the win or a river ten for a chop. The river, however, did not come ten or club, sending Golser to an early departure.
