Getting Shorter

Morten Guldhammer just open-shoved for 612,000. The other Morten (Klein) asked for a count before eventually passing, and the rest of the table followed suit.

Guldhammer picks up the blinds and antes, still working the short stack.

Reraised Pot Almost Turns Massive

Richard "Don't Call Me Richard Toth" Loth raised to 91,000 on the buton, and in the small blind Roberto Romanello made it 235,000. Morten Klein in the big blind paused. He asked for a count on Romanello's stack. Everyone held their breath. But after a moment he passed, and once Loth had done so too, the pot went to Romanello.

Don't Mess with the Chip Leader

Chip leader Anton Wigg raised to 92,000 under the gun and Yorane Kerignard in the big blind made the call.

It was all over very swiftly come the {3-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} flop though - Kerignard checked, and then folded to the continuation bet from Wigg.

Kerignard Benefits from Guldhammer

Yorane Kerignard
Yorane Kerignard
Yorane Kerignard opened to 90,000, and he was called by -- you guessed it -- Morten Guldhammer. The two men went heads up the rest of the way.

The flop came out {10-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}, and Kerignard checked. Guldhammer put out 235,000 chips, and Kerignard tank-called. Both men checked the {J-Diamonds} on the turn, and the {3-Hearts} filled out the board. Kerignard needed to bet, and he slid out 260,000. The call came instantly from Guldhammer, but he was beaten. Kerignard's {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} had his opponent's {A-Spades} {8-Hearts} out-kicked, and he wins the pot of about 1.3 million goes to Kerignard.

Morten Guldhammer's propensity for putting chips into the pot has now made him the table short stack.

Klein Pushes Petersen Off

First hand back, and Jesper Petersen raised to 85,000. Morten Klein in the big blind made the call.

Flop: {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

Klein checked and Petersen bet 115,000 in position. Klein, however, check-raised to 235,000. Petersen called and they saw a turn.

Turn: {K-Clubs}

Klein now bet out 250,000, forcing Petersen into his own private tank of despair for a while. When he emerged, he folded, and was rewarded by Klein showing him {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} for nothing more than the worst flush draw.

Klein is now up to 2.1 million - second place in the chip counts. Not bad for a man who came into Day 5 as the official short stack.

Guldhammer's Wandering Hands

Unfortunately observed during break:

Roberto Romanello was walking back up the stairs toward the tournament room, involved in a conversation with our very own Gloria Balding. Morten Guldhammer was also coming up the stairs at a bit quicker pace. He caught up to the pair ahead of him, and he... well, he grabbed one of their behinds with both hands and said, "Oh, GOD you have a nice butt!"

The behind he grabbed belonged to Mr. Romanello. Gloria seems a bit jealous.
