Lykov Losing Ground Fast

Maxim Lykov opened to 1,500 from middle position, and Kent Lundmark three-bet it to 4,500 on the button. The blinds folded back to Lykov, and he flicked in the call to see a flop.

The dealer spread the flop: {10-Diamonds}

, and both men checked in turn. On the turn, the {A-Diamonds}

drew another check from Lykov, and he called a bet of 5,500 from Lundmark. The {J-Spades}

filled out the board, and Maxim passed again. Lundmark took his time with the decision before sliding out a bet of 8,000. It wasn't a large bet, but it represented about two-thirds of Lykov's remaining stack. He didn't seem to like it, but Lykov eventually made the call getting better than 2.5-to-1 on his money.

Lundmark showed {A-Spades}

for two pair, and Lykov's cards went into the muck. He's dropped all the way back to 5,500 chips, and things aren't looking good for this season's EPT Kyiv winner.
