The tables have shrunk from nine to eight-handed, the prize money has risen from €7,263 for 56th to €11,174 for the next players here at PokerStars EPT Vilamoura leaving the competition at the tables for the relaxation at the beach, and the atmosphere is electric.
Yesterday saw many hopefuls and field favourites head to the rail, including the last of the PokerStars Team Pros JP Kelly and Day 1A's chip leader Team Online member Andre Coimbra, while Luca Pagano cashed for a record-breaking 16th time at the EPT.
Martin Jacobson leads the field, but as we saw yesterday, the chip lead can and usually does change hands repeatedly before a winner of a 384-runner tournament is crowned. The largest tournament ever held in Portugal is about to play down to a final table today starting at noon.
