O Jai

Toni Ojala raised to 15,000, and looking to exploit the bubble, chip-leader Jonathan Weekes slid out a big enough stack of yellows to put Ojala all in. Toni didn't bother with thinking or theatrics. He called all in for almost exactly 100,000.

Showdown
Ojala: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Weekes: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The board came {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Ojala safely doubled to 200,000. Weekes is still perfectly fine with 650,000.

Van Zadelhoff Eats into Weekes

Steven van Zadelhoff and a typical Estonian lady dealer. Good genes here.
Steven van Zadelhoff and a typical Estonian lady dealer. Good genes here.

Steven van Zadelhoff raised under the gun and Jonathan Weekes called from the button to see a {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop. Van Zadelhoff bet out 22,000 and Weekes called again.

They saw a {q-Diamonds} turn and this time van Zadelhoff paused before betting out 57,000. This time Weekes folded fairly swiftly, and the former chip leader, who'd been taking advantage of the bubble and was back up over the 700,000 mark before the hand, slipped to 680,000. Van Zadelhoff upped his count to 460,000.

Yotam Gets Barred On The Bubble

Yotam Bar-Yosef
Yotam Bar-Yosef

Yotam Bar-Yosef is our first bubble of Season 7 of the EPT and he will most likely be rueing his push.

Chady Merhej had raised in the small blind and Bar-Yosef moved all-in from the big blind, Merhej making a fairly speedy call.

Merhej: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Bar-Yosef: {2-Hearts} {2-Spades}

The flop was {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} and Bar-Yosef picked up a straight draw while on the {j-Hearts} turn he added a flush draw but the river was the {8-Clubs} and all he got was a round of applause as everyone else made the money.

The happiest man in the tournament though was Tomer Berda sitting to Bar-Yosef's left and had just 10,000 chips. Berda couldn't believe his luck as he probably assumed he would be the bubble for sure. No matter though as now everyone else is €6,350 richer.

No More Dalimore

Mark Dalimore
Mark Dalimore

Mark Dalimore opened for 15,000 from the button only for small blind Frederik Boberg to make it 42,000 - and then for big blind Jussi Jaatinen to push from the big blind. Dalimore, well, dallied for a little while, but eventually he folded. Boberg swiftly folded too, and Jaatinen took the pot.

A couple hands later and we found Dalimore all in against Jaatinen, the cards already on their backs.

Dalimore: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Jaatinen: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Board: {2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Mr. Dalimore and his extensive collection of Ed Hardy merchandise will not be going any further in this tournament as he picks up a min-cash for his efforts.

Tekintamgac Stumped

Ali Tekintamgac checked a board reading {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, and his only opponent, Vitalijs Zavorotnijs, quietly moved all in for about pot. It would be 130,000 or so for Tekintamgac to call. He tanked for several minutes, a confused look on his face. Tekintamgac looked around for help, but none was coming, and he eventually folded. He's slipped slightly to 530,000.

Pessina Feeling Positive

Seppo Parkkinen opened in the hijack to 16,000, and the button three-bet to 42,000. In the big blind, Jean-Daniel Pessina moved all in for a total of 55,500. Parkkinen tank-folded, and the button called the extra few chips with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Pessina was in the lead with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and he stayed that way as the board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Seeing Double

We have two Jaatinens in our field today - Mikko and Jussi - and our Finnish friends in the press room have confirmed that these two are indeed brothers. Both Jaatinens are now in the money, both of them on roughly average stacks, and are not going anywhere for a while. It could be rather interesting if they end up at the same table.

Getting Away With Berda

Tomer Berda
Tomer Berda

Tomer Berda has finally been eliminated, pushing for 20,000 and getting isolated by Chady Merhej in the small blind. Big blind Arnaud Mattern reraised though and Merhej passed.

Berda: {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}
Mattern: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}

Board: {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Clubs}

And with that Berda busts, taking home €6,350 with him. Perhaps more than he thought he get an hour ago.

Povilas Gets Pusted

Pustolas Povilas was all-in preflop with {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} against Konstantin Bilyaver's {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} but couldn't spike a seven on a {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {2-Clubs} board. He had three pair but it wasn't the best three pair as Kings and Tens (and Deuces) beats Kings and Sevens (and Deuces).
