Didier Mazairac opened to 85,000 and to his immediate left Kevin Keosomphet made it 210,000. It folded around to Franck Pepe on the button who cold four bet all in for 468,000. Mazairac folded but Keosomphet made the call, and they were soon on their backs.

Mazairac made a sad little noise as the eight dropped on the turn; he said he'd folded pocket eights. Pepe is back up to around a million.
William Johnson has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride the past 20 minutes or so.
First we witnessed him betting out 120,000 on a flop and then calling a reraise to 270,000 from Ruslan Prydryk. But Johnson decided not to call the push from Prydryk on the turn (perhaps it was the way Prydryk looked him right in the eye as he pushed his chips across the line), and Johnson dropped to a million. Prydryk is at 1.5 million now.
Next hand Johnson opened for 66,000, but Franck Pepe pushed behind and Johnson gave it up. Down to 930,000. Pepe showed him and upped his stack to 650,000, although he dropped back to 550,000 the next hand he raised but then folded to a reraise from Didier Mazairac.
Johnson made another few failed raises, and few hands later he got a few chips back when Mazairac bet out 70,000 on a flop. Johnson folded and Mazairac folded, and Johnson showed pocket . Back up to 900,000.
Passed around to Riccardo Giancalone, he pushed all-in from the small blind for just 152,000 and Fabrice Soulier made a painful call in the big blind with , Giancalone opened a dominating but the board came splitting the pot.
Fabian Holling opened to 61,000 from early position and Andrzej Nowak-Rogozinski called from the big blind to see a flop. Nowak-Rogozinski checked and Holling carried on with a 72,000 continuation bet but the Pole check-raised to 175,000.
"What's the minimum raise?" asked the German, who was told if he raised he had to make it at least 350,000. (In France the minimum raise is double the actual bet, not double the raise size).
Despite this Holling ended up just flat-calling and Nowak-Rogozinski cautiously checked the turn. Holling now fired 180,000 this time which was enough to take down the pot after Nowak-Rogozinski regretfully gave up his cards.
Table one is stuck right in the corner of the casino and it currently houses our chip leader Alex Wice. He is sat in seat five and has the two short stacks to his immediate left in Riccardo Giacalone and Fabrice Soulier. When the action folds around to Wice and he has the button he is putting both the short stacks all-in every time.
Giacalone has had his stack of 180,000 in the middle on two occasions during this level but did not receive a call either time.
Kenny Lambert is also cursing his luck when he raised to 125,000 on two consecutive occasions and received a round of folds each time. The first time he tabled pocket kings and the second time pocket aces. Giacalone and Soulier casting an envious eye.
Laurent Polito has sat quietly in seat one with his hood and headphones covering his head. He raised from under the gun to 65,000 and our chip leader Wice three bet to 160,000. Polito four-bet to around 500,000 and Wice folded.
There were two very short stacks on table one and now we have one very short stack and a short stack because Fabrice Soulier has just doubled up.
Soulier peeked at his cards and felt like they were good enough to move most of his chips across the line. We say most because he kept the proverbial "chip and a chair" with one solitary 5,000 grey chip acting as a card protector.
Soulier's bet of around 140,000 was called by Kenny Lambert and they both saw a flop of and Lambert put one grey chip in the middle and Soulier called. Lambert showed down and Soulier was the most relieved man in the casino when he realised he had a seven and showed down for middle pair. The turn of and river of were no good for Lambert and Soulier doubled up.
Philip Jacobsen opened made the opening raise to which Thomas Finneran responded by shoving for around 250,000. Jacobsen made the call, and although Finneran was dominating, it was as though Jacobsen could see what was coming. "Good luck," he said.
Finneran:
Jacobsen:
Here comes the outdraw...
Board:
We're down to 21 players in this here Main Event. Jacobsen is at 1.6 million.
Anthony Hnatow opened from the button and Fried Meulders reraised all-in from the small blind, the Frenchman snap-called.
Hnatow:
Meulders:
The flop of changed nothing but the turn meant Meulders' outs increased to five but the river was another and Hnatow celebrated with a little fist pump, regaining the chips he lost earlier to Didier Mazairac.
