Everywhere you look someone is doubling up in this tournament. The latest benefactor was Nicola Boldini and the latest casualty was Dario Nittolo; although he is not been eliminated.
Boldini made a huge raise pre flop when he made it 90,000 to play. The action folded around to Nittolo in the small blind and he made a three-bet of over 200,000. Boldini moved all-in and Nittolo made the call.
Xuan Liu is going about her business in a very quiet, unassuming but efficient manner here today. Here are two examples of her ability to turn the heat up when she feels like it.
Hand 1
Team Pokerstars Pro Max Lykov raised to 50,000 under the gun before Liu three-bet from the button making it 130,000. Lykov four-bet to 225,000 and everyone stared at Liu. She was riffling her chips and staring at her stack before very quietly announcing she was all-in. It may have been quiet but the ever-sharp Lykov heard alright and quickly despatched his hand into the muck.
Lykov ~ 1,380,000
Hand 2
Liu raised to 51,000 from the cut-off and Freddy Darakjian called on the button.
Flop:
Liu bet 81,000 and Darakjian called quite quickly.
Turn:
Liu loaded up and fired her second barrel worth 135,000 and again Darakjian didn't need much thinking time before calling.
River:
Liu took her gaze away from the board for the one and only time and stole a glance at the stack of Darakjian. She then returned to her original pose and said, "all-in." This time Darakjian didn't make his move so quick and instead took his time before eventually folding his hand.
Arturo Pierantoni checked the turn of a board across to Team PokerStars Pro Joe Cada, the latter betting 170,000. Pierantoni stared for a moment then check-raised all in and was snap-called by the former World Champion.
Pieratoni:
Cada:
The came on the river and Pieratoni was easily covered, Cada now looks to be well over the million chip mark.
It looked as though Giuseppe Caciolo has limped in before Fabrizio Cataldi made it 66,000 to go. In the big blind, Stefan Huber reraised which effectively got rid of Caciolo, but Cataldi now pushed and after a moment Huber folded, leaving himself on 400,000. Cataldi is almost a millionaire.
