Semaska and the Ladies

With a dead small blind, Mattias Bergstrom raised from under the gun to 25,000. Action folded a couple seats over to Pascal Hartmann in middle position and he called. Play then folded to Justas Semaska in the big blind. Semaska three-bet and made it 82,000 to go. Bergstrom thought for a minute or two prior to coming back with a four-bet to 155,000. Hartmann mucked and Semaska moved all in for 387,000. Bergstrom called.

Semaska held the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and was in a classic coinflip situation with Bergstrom, who held the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and kept Semaska in front. Although Bergstrom flopped a Broadway straight draw, it would be no good due to the paired flop as Semaska would then make a full house.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} and now Bergstrom needed just an ace or a king to eliminate Semaska.

The river landed with the {4-Spades} and Bergstrom had missed. That was good news for Semaska because his queens held and he doubled up to just over 800,000. Bergstrom still holds over a million in chips.
