The day is all said and done with the elimination of Adria Balaguer in ninth place here at the 2011 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival Main Event. Just eight players remain from the original starting field of 691 and all are guaranteed at least £64,000 for reaching the final table.
Thanks to the last hand of the day where he busted Balaguer, Martins Adeniya has assumed the pole position heading into tomorrow's finale. He finished the day with 4.736 million in chips. Coming in behind him is Mattias Bergstrom with 3.62 million in chips.
To begin the day, 24 players returned to action. Sebastian Blom was the first player eliminated on the day and he was followed out the door by Basile Yaiche in 19th, Joao Barbosa in 17th, Benjamin Jenkins in 13th and James Mitchell in 11th.
Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor will enter the final table sixth in chips with 1.915 million. This is his best EPT finish of his career and he'll be looking to take this one down.

Balaguer Crushed by Adeniya to Finish in Ninth

Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor raised to 105,000 from middle position. Even despite his tight play, he found four callers. Martins Adeniya called in the cutoff seat, Mattias Bergstrom called from the button, Miroslav Benes called from the small blind and Adria Balaguer called from the big blind.
The five players saw the flop come down 
and action checked around to Bergstrom. He took a minute and then bet 200,000. Benes folded and action fell on Balaguer. He check-raised all in for around 1.5 million. Pastor folded and then Adeniya announced a call. Bergstrom took that as his cue to get out of the way and folded his hand.
Even though Balaguer had rocked the flop with the 
for trips with the best kicker, Adeniya had him crushed with the 
for a full house. Now, Balaguer needed the case seven or running aces to stay alive.

From middle position, Benny Spindler raised to 100,000. Miroslav Benes called from the big blind to see the flop come down 
. After Benes checked, Spindler bet 50,000. Benes quickly folded.
Bergstrom Firing Into Benes on Turn and River

Miroslav Benes raised to 125,000 from under the gun and got a call from Mattias Bergstrom in the big blind. The flop came down 
and both players checked to see the land on the turn. Bergstrom led for 125,000 on fourth street and Benes called. The river card was the
