Wigg Doubles with Quads; Binger Must Show

We spotted Anton Wigg all in for 42,000 on the river of a board reading {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Nick Binger was in the tank and he thought long and hard for several minutes. Finally, Binger made the call and Wigg turned over the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for the nuts with quads. The dealer prompted Binger to show his hand, but he questioned it at first. The dealer immediately summoned the floor, who happened to be standing right by and the ruling was given.

Per rules of the European Poker Tour, all all-in showdowns must be shown and Binger's hand had to be tabled. He turned over the {A-Spades}{5-Spades} and then the dealer mucked his losing hand. Afterwards, the table began commenting as a whole about how bad they thought that rule was.

One for Nacho

From under the gun, Jake Cody raised to 2,600. Action folded to the button and he flat-called before Nacho Barbero called from the small blind. Stephen Rawls also called from the big blind and the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Play checked to Cody and he fired 5,200. After the button flat-called, Barbero put in a raise to 14,000. Rawls folded, Cody folded and then the button folded.

Layani Grows

Jonathan Layani had raised preflop from middle position and Paul Vas Nunes called out of the big blind to see the flop come down {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}. After Vas Nunes checked, Layani bet 5,500. Vas Nunes made the call.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and Vas Nunes checked to the aggressor again. Layani bet 13,000 and Vas Nunes called.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked.

"Queen," said Layani, turning over the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}. Vas Nunes mucked his hand and Layani won the pot.

When Will It End?

Strolling by Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier's table, we noticed his stack has grown quite a bit.

"You wanna know how it happened?" asked Mercier before relaying the story to us. "A guy shoved for 20K and I called. Then another guy reshoved for 60K and I called. I had ace-king, the first guy had pocket eights and the other guy had queens. The board ran out ace, six, three, ten, three."

A moment later he questioned, "When will it end?"
