Never Ending

Before the last break, Jason Mercier was crushed down to just 18,000 chips after losing a big all-in confrontation with {A-}{Q-} versus pocket eights. Mercier flopped an ace, but couldn't fend off his opponent who rivered an eight.

Don't worry through, Mercier fans, because he just doubled back to about 35,000. Under the gun, Mercier raised all in for 15,600. Action folded to Barny Boatman in the big blind and he made the call with the {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Mercier held the {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

There was a king in the window as the flop ran out {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs} to keep Boatman in front. The turn was interesting as the {10-Clubs} added a flush draw for Mercier. Will It end here? No.

The {8-Clubs} landed on the river and gave Mercier a winning flush to double him up.

Blom Beats Chouity

Nicolas Chouity raised to 6,600 from early position and Sebastian Blom, brother of Viktor Blom, reraised to 15,000 from middle position. Action folded back to Chouity and he four-bet to 29,200. Blom made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Chouity checked. Blom bet 22,000 and Chouity folded. Blom showed the {8-Clubs} as he raked in the chips.

Joao Barbosa, Jason Mercier, Nicolas Chouity, Anton Wigg, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Roberto Romanello and Salvatore Bonavena are all former EPT champions looking for Main Event title number two.

Mizzi Triples

Sorel Mizzi moved all in for the second hand in a row. This time he was all in for 25,500. Hugo Loureiro reraised to 100,000 and then Georges Yazbeck called all in for around 20,000. Everyone else folded.

Mizzi: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Loureiro: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Yazbeck: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} and Mizzi tripled up. Yazbeck was eliminated.

Brunson is the King

Doyle Brunson just got a nice boost to his stack after knocking out Salman Behbehani. The flop was {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} when the two got the money in. Behbehani held {A-}{8-} to Brunson's two kings. The turn was the {J-Clubs} and the river the {10-Diamonds} to keep Brunson in the lead and win him the pot.
