Day 4: Mitchell in Charge

Welcome back to Day 4 of the 2011 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival Main Event. With 62 players remaining, the plan today is to make it down until the final 24. That'll be the final three tables and set the stage for tomorrow's penultimate day.

Leading the way into Day 4 is James Mitchell, the 2010 Irish Open champion. Mitchell is the only player above one million in chips, but he's not the only notable with a large bag of chips to stack up to start the day. Martins Adeniya (786,800), Sandor Demjan (691,000) and Kevin Iacofono (623,500) are in the top ten while Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor along with Steven Kelly and Jamie Rosen are all above average. Ana Marquez, Humberto Brenes and Salvatore Bonavena are the three other Team Pros still in contention.

Play is set to kick off promptly at noon local time here in London and it's going to be an exciting day on the felt. Be sure to follow along with our payouts page right here on PokerNews in order to keep track of who busts where and keep in mind that there's £750,000 going to first place. That's still a ways away, but surely everyone's chopping at the bit for a chance at it.
