De Visscher Wins a Three Way Pot

Koen de Visscher raised to 8,200 in the cutoff and both blinds made the call. The flop was {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {9-Spades} and all three players checked. The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Tobias Garp checked from the small blind, Ioannis Papadopoylos bet 12,500 from the big blind and Koen de Visscher also made the call before Garp folded. The river of {10-Spades} was checked through and we had a showdown between De Visscher and Papadopoylos.

Papadopoylos{Q-Spades} {9-Hearts}

Roberto Romanello Has Been Eliminated

There will not be a second title for Roberto Romanello
There will not be a second title for Roberto Romanello

Everyone's favourite charasmatic Welshman, Robert Romanello, has been eliminated from EPT Loutraki. Vitalijs Zavorotnijs raised from the hijack and Romanello moved all-in from the cutoff. The action folded around to Zavorotnijs and he made the call.

Zavorotnijs{A-Spades} {Q-Spades}
Romanello{9-Hearts} {9-Spades}

Board: {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {8-Spades} {K-Spades} {5-Diamonds}

Romanello's departure means that if we are going to have a double EPT Champion it will have to come from Kevin MacPhee, David Vamplew or Rupert Elder.

Pournaras Doubles Through Zavorotnijs

Andreas Pournaras has doubled up to almost 100,000 after getting all in preflop with [AdAds] against Latvian Vitalijs Zavorotnijs' {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} when the board came {5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts} - Zavorotnijs dropped to 110,000 as a result.

Mpallas in Comparison

Dimitrios Mpallas has been knocked out, his short stack all in with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} losing out to Georgios Grigoropoylos' {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} after the board came {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Third Barrel Too Much For Kovacs

Grudi Grudev is having a fantastic tournament thus far. Here is applying relentless pressure to Andras Kovacs to win yet another pot.

Grudev raised to 9,000 in the hijack seat and Kovacs defended his big blind. The flop was a lowly looking {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} and Kovac check-called a 11,000 Grudev c-bet. On the turn we saw the {9-Spades} and once again Kovacs took the check-call line for an amount of 21,500. The last card to leave the dealers hand and float gently to the felt was the {9-Clubs} and Kovacs checked for the third time. Grudev finished his triple barrel assault with a bet of 63,000 and Kovacs decided enough was enough and mucked his hand.

David Vamplew Back Over 200k

Look at the concentration on the lad!
Look at the concentration on the lad!

David Vamplew raised to 6,000 and Fahredin Mustafov defended his big blind. The flop was an all spade affair - {K-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} - and Vamplew made a c-bet of 9,000 which Mustafov check-called. The turn card brought a little more colour to proceedings {9-Hearts} and after Mustafov had checked Vamplew bet 19,500 and Mustafov once again called. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Mustafov turned the tables with a bet of 20,000. After a quick count Vamplew called and took down the pot. The final card taking Vamplew from loser to winner.
