Five Betting Action From Ruthenberg

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

It is interesting how the most exciting hand action is often when we do not get to see any cards! Giuseppe Sammartino made a 350 raise from under the gun and the player to his direct left called before Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian Ruthenberg three-bet to 1,300 from middle position. Players folded in unison until the action fell to Sammartino who didn't seem in the mood to follow suit and he four-bet to 2,850. The initial cold-caller ran to the hills and all eyes fell on Ruthenberg.

"How much is that?" Asked the German.

The Dealer confirmed the amount and as tensions ran high Ruthenberg five-bet to 5,950.

"How much do you have left?" A very calm looking Sammartino asked.

Ruthenberg moved his yellow and red chips to the front and he had around 14,000. After some consideration Sammartino decided enough was enough and mucked his hand handing the pot to Ruthenberg.

Then a few short hands later Ruthenberg was in winning form yet again. He was in a blind battle with Mikkel Holmgaard and we saw the action from the turn. The board was {a-Spades} {a-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} and Holmgaard check-called a 2,200 Ruthenberg bet. The river was the {9-Hearts} and Holmgaard bet 4,000 and Ruthenberg called.
