Ravn Downward Spiral Continues

Aage Ravn may have started this final table at the EPT Copenhagen Main Event as an overwhelming chip leader but he is spiralling downwards and there seems to be no end in sight.

Hansen opened to 80,000 and then called when Ravn three-bet to 180,000. The dealer put out the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Ravn lead out with a bet of 200,000. Hansen wasted little time in calling and it was off to the {A-Hearts} turn. Ravn bet again, setting the price at 300,000 and Hansen called again. The river was the {3-Hearts} and both players tapped the table and checked.

Ravn{9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Hansen{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Hansen wins.

Ravn Cannot Pick Up a Pot

Aage Ravn has gone as cold as an iceberg and cannot win a hand.

He raised to 80,000 on the button and Mickey Petersen made the call in the big blind. The flop was {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Petersen check-called a 80,000 Ravn bet. The turn {3-Clubs} was checked through and both players eventually found themselves staring at the {A-Spades} on the river. Petersen led for 125,000 and Ravn folded.

Neuville Doubles Up; The Easy Way

Neuville flopping quads
Neuville flopping quads

Pierre Neuville very suspiciously came into pot with the min-raise from first position. The action folded around to Team PokerStars Online Pro Mickey Petersen and he put Neuville all-in from the big blind. Neuville made the call and we had a showdown.

Neuville{K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Petersen{A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}

So Petersen needed an ace, but the dealer decided to help Neuville out - just a little bit!

Flop: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

So quads for Neuville, but Petersen still had runner-runner royal flush outs. The turn card was the {6-Clubs} and that sealed the deal for Neuville.

Aage Ravn Eliminated in 4th Place (740,000 DKK)

Ravn out in 4th
Ravn out in 4th

Aage Ravn came into today's final table as chip leader and extended his lead, increasing his hopes of winning the title, but it all came crashing down around him. He finished fourth after busting to Bjarke Hansen.

Ravn raised from the button and then four-bet called all-in with {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. It was a cooler four-handed as Hansen, in the small blind, tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Spades}. The stake in Ravn's heart came on the river. Fourth place in a great achievement but he'll be disappointed as he would've adjusted his hopes and wishes a lot higher.

Neuville Doubles Again!

Pierre Neuville has doubled up again and again through the online phenom Mickey Petersen.

Petersen opened to 80,000 and the Belgian Team PokerStars Pro three-bet all in for 690,000 in total. Bjarke Hansen folded his big blind but Petersen called, but he did not look too happy about it.

Petersen{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Neuville{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Neuville stood from his seat as the dealer put out the {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. The {3-Hearts} turn gave an extra out to Petersen but they failed to appear on the river, which was the {4-Spades} and Neuville doubled up again.

Petersen Finds a Plug

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Mickey Petersen stopped the leaking of his chips after he won a pot off now chip leader Bjarke Hansen. The PokerStars Team Online member opened to 80,000 from the button and Hansen defended his big blind.

The flop fell {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Hansen check-called Petersen's 80,000 c-bet before both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Hansen had a stab with a 120,000 bet. Petersen called with {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and took the pot as Hansen reveled {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a busted flush draw.

Big Stacks Collide

Team PokerStars Pro Pierre Neuville folded his button leaving it up to Bjarke Hansen to open the betting from the small blind with a min-raise to 80,000. Mickey Petersen is in the big blind and he called.

Flop: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} - Hansen continued with a 90,000 bet and Petersen made the call.

Turn: {Q-Diamonds} - Hansen now went into checking mode and tapped the table. Petersen bet 140,000 and Hansen eventually called.

River: {2-Hearts} - Hansen checked again but Petersen did not let up and he bet 285,000. Hansen never looked like calling and it was no surprise when he flicked his cards back to the dealer.
