Lodden Uses Position Well

Johnny Lodden likes to play hands it position. It enables him to use his exceptional reading skills to take down a lot of pots when behind. He took down his last pot from the button, but we don't know where he was in the hand as there was no showdown.

Roger Hannaseth raised to 700 from mid position and was only called by the Team PokerStars Pro. The flop fell {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Hannaseth check-called a 1,000 bet from his fellow Norwegian. Both checked the {k-Clubs} turn before Lodden bet 2,500 when checked to on the {10-Diamonds} turn.

Berggren Check-Raises Metaal Off Pot

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Nils Berggren opens to 800 from the cuttoff and Govert Metaal three-bets from the button to 2,200. Sigurd Terpling looked like he was about to call but he thought better of it and folded his hand. Berggren called and it was heads-up to the flop.

Flop: {5-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} - Berggren checked, Metaal fired a continuation bet of 3,100 only to see Berggren check-raise to 7,000. Metaal smelled a rat and let his hand go.

Bjerkmann Makes His Presence Felt

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Marcel Bjerkmann has arrived fashionably late and has taken his seat over on Table 25 and has immediately made his presence felt.

Alaa El-Chami opened to 750 from the hijack and the action folded to Bjerkmann in the small blind and he made the call. The flop came down {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}[KLc] and both players quickly checked. The turn saw a little more aggression, the {4-Clubs} prompting Bjerkmann to check, El-Chami to bet 1,250 and then call when Bjerkmann check-raised to 3,500.

The river was the {K-Spades} and now Bjerkmann, known as "p3r4a" when playing on PokerStars, bet 13,500 and El-Chami snap-folded.

A Couple of Pots For Eames

Yes, don't be fooled by the smile, this is John Eames
Yes, don't be fooled by the smile, this is John Eames

Pot One

Alaa El-Chami limped into the pot, in early position, and Igor Pihela and John Eames both called in the blinds. The flop was {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and Pihela checked to Eames who bet 600 and Alaa El-Chami made the call from position. Pihela folded and Eames and El-Chami saw the {5-Spades} pop up on the turn. This time Eames checked, El-Chami bet 1,125 and Eames made the call. On the river the same action ensued but not until Eames had pulled the odd face or two. The bet was for 2,100 and there was no need for the face pulling because at showdown Eames was good.

El- Chami{A-Hearts} {J-Spades}

Pot Two

Suman Nedzib Hands Theo Jorgensen a Gift

A nice little gift for Jorgensen
A nice little gift for Jorgensen

Suman Nedzib opened to 1,075 in first position and Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen cold called just a few seats to his left. The dealer handed them a {10-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} flop and Nezib check-called a 1,400 Jorgensen bet. On the turn we saw the {A-Diamonds} and once again Nedzib check-called a Jorgensen bet; this time for 2,700. Going to the river Nedzib had around 10,000 behind when he checked to the Team PokerStars Pro. Jorgensen scanned his stack before putting him all-in and Nedzib called.

Nedzib got to his feet and showed {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} for top pair and unremarkable kicker and Jorgensen showed {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} for the flopped set.
